Yuko Kishida, wife of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, will host the Spouses’ Program, a sideline event of the G7 summit in Hiroshima that takes place May 19 to 21, the government announced Monday.

She will lead spouses of participating country leaders to deepen their understanding of traditional Japanese culture during the three day event.

On the first day, Yuko will lead the guests to try out sado Japanese tea ceremony. The guests will then stop at Miyajima Island, home to Itsukushima Shrine, a World Heritage site, on the second day. On the final day, they will visit the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum, in addition to other places.

Meals served during the program will feature local ingredients and the guests will be able to watch a demonstration of how to make okonomiyaki savory pancakes, a Hiroshima specialty.
